U14s SERYFA v St Johnstone FC 8th December 2017

Friday 8th December 2017 Forrester High School

Our U14s Regional team played St Johnstone on Friday 8th December 2017, the game was played over three 1/2 hour periods.

On a freezing cold evening the high standard of football that was on show from both teams was appreciated by everyone in the large crowd that had turned up to watch the match and credit must go to all the players involved.

The first period was probably shaded by the SERYFA and they found themself 3-1 up. Both teams made a number of changes for the second period with the SERYFA coaches changing their formation and this period was more even between the sides with the SERYFA scoring again to make it 4-1. The final period again saw a load of changes (probably to try keep all the players warm) and the game finished 4-1 to the SERYFA. It was a good game and appreciated by the spectators.

We would like to thank our friends at St Johnstone FC once again for travelling down with their team to play us and wee wish the all the best for the rest of the season. Our thanks also goes to referee Robert (Wee Bobby) White for refereeing the game.

On a persoal note I would like to thank our coaches Pete Philp, Gordon Belcher & Alan Frain for their excellent work once again. Finally l would lik to say a big thanks to all the players for their fantastic attitude when they represent our Region.

We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all at SERYFA

 Fraser Lawson President SERYFA
