U15s & U16s Squads Announced for SYFA Inter- Regional Shield SERYFA vs East Region

Our second game in this seasons U15s & U16s SYFA Inter-Regional Shield tournament will be played on Sunday 1st March 2020. Both games will take place at Spartans Community Football Academy, 94 Pilton Drive Edinburgh EH5 2HF. Both games will kick off at 1pm. The U16s will play on the Stadium 3G Pitch and the U15s will play on the Community 3G Pitch. Entry to both games will be free. The squads for both games are now on Regional Page of website and all team secretarys have been emailed.  Why not pop down and support the teams on Sunday 1st March 2020 1pm KO. 

U13s & U14s Monthly Meeting - Monday 24th February 2020

The Alpha Trophies Monthly League meeting will be held on Monday 24th February 2020 at the Jewel Miners Welfare & Society Social Club , 56-60 Duddingston Park South, Edinburgh EH15 3LJ. The meeting will start at 7pm sharp and all teams are requested to attend. Any teams that won cups / trophys last season are to return them engraved and cleaned at the meeting or take them to the league secretary's house. If you are unable to attend please advise League Secretary before 3pm on day of meeting 

Important Notice - Re playing U20s E O S Lowland League

All players, teams and secretarys should note that ANY PLAYER registered to play for any SERYFA team at any age group CANNOT play as a trialist for any U20's E O S Lowland League team. It is an offence and breach of SYFA rules

Following Dr Willie Stewart’s recent study into dementia risks in former professional footballers, the SYFA has now updated our guidance accordingly.

The Andy Towns Cup - U17s

The SERYFA U17s will play for a new cup this season THE ANDY TOWNS CUP. The cup has been presented to the Seryfa Alpha Trophies leagues in memory of a former play who played in our leagues.

New Laws Of The Game are in place (copy on website) including Team staff sanctions where the SFA Offences are as per attached (from SFA Referee Operations team).

IFAB Changes to Laws of Game

Hi all,
IFAB have just launched the first-ever official mobile app presenting the Laws of association football so that players, coaches, journalists and fans have access to the Laws while watching a match on TV or at a stadium. 



In order to have their SYFA form accepted they must first submit a league membership form to the League Secretary, ALLAN ARCHIBALD

Some of you may be aware of the work of the Paediatrician Dr Nadine Burke- Harris on the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences ( A.C.Es) on health and well-being (physical, mental, socio-economic etc etc).
You may also be aware that, locally and nationally, there is growing, multi-disciplinary recognition of the significant impact of A.C.Es on children and on the adults they become.
