IFAB Changes to Laws of Game

Hi all,
IFAB have just launched the first-ever official mobile app presenting the Laws of association football so that players, coaches, journalists and fans have access to the Laws while watching a match on TV or at a stadium.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SEASON 2019/20

ANY TEAM /CLUB APPLYING TO JOIN THE ALPHA TROPHIES LEAGUES FOR SEASON 2019/20 PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.

In order to have their SYFA form accepted they must first submit a league membership form to the League Secretary, ALLAN ARCHIBALD

Teams wishing to play at U21s season 2019-2020

As everone knows last year we did not have enough teams enter the Alpha Trophies League to form a U21s age group. Many of our U19s teams joined the U20s Lowland Dev League instead of taking the previous route to U21s football within the SERYFA structure.

For people dealing with children as coaches or Child Welfare Protection officers.

AN INVITATION!
Some of you may be aware of the work of the Paediatrician Dr Nadine Burke- Harris on the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences ( A.C.Es) on health and well-being (physical, mental, socio-economic etc etc).
You may also be aware that, locally and nationally, there is growing, multi-disciplinary recognition of the significant impact of A.C.Es on children and on the adults they become.

FTAO ALL SERYFA REFEREES - NOTICE FROM HAMPDEN

To All League and Regional Secretaries

Dear Colleague
I would be grateful if you could remind all referees appointed for any fixture that they should ensure all players’ boots are inspected prior to kick-off to ensure that their footwear is appropriate for the surface and safe.
I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Kind regards

Fiona

All roles within clubs that require PVG Checks

I’m contacting you all to provide an updated list of all roles which require the completion of a PVG check.

The relevant roles are listed below:

Club Coach Co-ordinator
Club Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer
Club Additional Signatory

Team Coach (level 1.2.or above)
Team Coach Assistant
Team Helper
Team Goalkeeping Coach

Team First Aider
Team Secretary

FTAO OF ALL CLUBS

I understand there is an urgent need across multiple regions for more additional signatories.

In order to alleviate this pressure, I am going to alter the process for issuing signatory codes with immediate effect.
Nominated trainers will now be able to issue codes directly to their members on successful completion of training.

Please read the below steps carefully as failure to do so may result in the issue of invalid codes or the need for repeat training.

SERYFA Team Lines must be used

Its been noticed that some teams are NOT using the offical SERYFA team lines for their games. The SERYFA official team line can be downloaded from the forms page of our website. Can all teams please download and use official SERYFA team line for all fixtures & friendlies (Except Scottish Cup Ties where team lines from the SYFA must be used)
